Unblock Security Websites which are Blocked by Viruses/Worms

Have you ever been unable to get access to security websites?. This is one of the symptoms that your Computer is virus infected. You can't access to browse Security sits like McAfee, Symantec, Microsoft etc and you can't update your Security Software. So how can you get access to those Websites to remove computer viruses. Here is a simple solution, just follow the instructions:

1. Go to Run from Start Menu (or Press Windows Key + R )
2. Type CMD to open Command Prompt.
3. Now type NET STOP DNSCACHE and press ENTER button. If you type correctly and command work correctly, you will see " The DNS Client Service was stopped successfully". If you don't see any line like this then try this command accessing your computer as an Administrator
   
   
   .
4. This command stop your DNS client services. Most viruses or worms use DNS Client Services  to block security websites to update your Security System software.
5. Now you can update your Antivirus Software accession Security Sites and remove threads from your Computer.
6. To start 'DNS Client Service' again you have to type NET START DNSCACHE in the command prompt and then press ENTER. Start this services after virus removal.

How to remove shortcut arrow mark from Icons

Don't want to see the shortcut arrow mark with icons in Desktop? Don't worry, You can remove the shortcut arrow mark from Desktop icons through very simple registry hack.
The arrow mark is rally very ugly to see with the icons. I hate that too. To remove that follow the steps:

1. Go to Start Menu then Run. Type regedit in Run box to go to Registry Editor.
   
2. Browse the Key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
   
3. Open the Key LNKFILE. Now delete IsShortcut
   
4. Now open the next key PIFFILE under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT key and delete IsShortcut
   
5. Finally Restart your Windows and Enjoy without shortcut mark icon

How to Delete Undeletable Files and Folders

I faces with a problem many times and that is, i can't delete some files in my computer. Have you faced before with this?. When I try to delete some error messages appear like as:

• The file is in use by another program or user
  
• Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use
  
• Cannot delete file: Access is denied
  

Today i want to share a trick to delete such files very easily and you will never treat such situation as problem after knowing. Follow the instructions:

1. Open Notepad
   
2. Click File then Save As
   
3. Browse the folder where the undeletable file is located.
   
4. Now choose "All files" from the file type box.
   
5. Select the undeletable file clicking once on that.
   
6. Now save the Notepad file (A message will appear to confirm the replacement of the deletable file.just click on yes) that replace the undeletable fiel.
   
7. Now you can delete the file as normally.

Get Windows 7 iconized taskbar in your XP, Vista

Windows 7 Taskbar has great features. One of them is the Taskbar does not show text in the application buttons, only show their icons. This is totally nice looking when you have many windows opened at the same time. This feature also saves space in Taskbar area. If you want to have the same feature in Windows XP or Vista then you can get it easily just following the steps below:

• Go to RUN and type regedit and press Enter. It will open Registry Editor. Now go to the Key:
  

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

• In right-side panel, create a new String value MinWidth and set its value to -255
  

• That's it. Now Restart your computer and get ready to have iconized taskbar in your Computer.
  

• To get the default Taskbar as it before delete the MinWidth String value and restart you computer.
  

If you don't want it following the above process then you have an alternative way just downloading the follwing Zip file.

Download Registry Script

Ifter downloading it run the Install.reg file. It will ask you for confirmation, accept it and the Taskbar will change automatically if it does not work then please restart your computer. I hope it will work. Read more...

What new behind Windows Media Player 12

Microsoft has relesed its new version Windows Media Player 12 with its new operating system Windows 7. Windows Media Player is still in beta state and with very exciting new features than the previous version.

In Windows Media Player 12, library management is completely seperated from what’s currently playing with there being Playing view and Library view player modes. While library view contains all the library manipulation features, playing view contains the current playlist, videos and visualizations. This version also makes available an automatic 15 second preview of any song on hovering the mouse over it.



A notable feature of Windows Media Player 12 (WMP12) is its support for H.264 video, AAC audio, and both Xvid and DivX video, in addition to all the formats supported by WMP11 in windows Vista (MPEG2, WMV, MP3, etc.). With the support for these new codecs, the popular media player for windows should now play the majority of videos found on the web, out of the box.



WMP12 will also support iTunes libraries apart from its own libraries. Thus it will support most iTunes media except for DRM-protected iTunes Store songs and music.



WMP12 also makes it easier to play back audio or video on remote devices. This feature is called “Play To”. How to Configure Your Computer to See File Extensions

A file extension is the part of the name in the file that tells the computer what kind of file it is and which programs are responsible to it.

For example "Letter.txt" is a file with extension 'txt'.

The advantages of showing file extension is whenever you wanna a unknown file to run or open you may detect whether it is a virus or not knowing its file size.

To show file extension in your computer:

• Go to file Menu bar and click on "Tools" now select " Folder Options". This will open a window like below.
• In that window click on "View." 
• Scroll down to "Hide extensions of known file types." Make Sure This Is Unchecked
• Click "Apply" and "Okay" and Done! Then you will be able to see the file extensions.

Whenever a file of computer we open or run it has an extension after dot(.). That define the type of file and which program or software is responsible to open it. The responsible software interpret its coded to us.
For example: a song file named as " Its my life.mp3" means it is under .mp3 file extension and this is a music file and can be run via a music software like windows media player.
